“I can make a product's conversion rate rise up to 400%*. That's more than I can say for my sourdough.”
* Why UX design helps businessesMy career has always been about people. From healthcare to UX design. Listening, understanding, and solving their problems.
How healthcare shaped me
A positive mindset
In healthcare, I learnt how powerful a positive attitude is. It can shift the energy of a room and make problems feel easier to handle. Even when things don’t go as planned, I focus on finding solutions. It’s incredible what a positive mindset can do.
I get people
Personal assistance taught me to listen closely to subtle signals. Whether it was body language or tiny hints in someone’s words. In UX design, I use this skill to understand users' feedback. I turn it into tailored designs that meet their real needs.
I stand up for people
I've put people first for over ten years. Both as a personal assistant and as a team leader. I've been the extra pair of hands, the organiser and the interpreter. I learnt to stand up for individuals. I made sure their needs were met and their voices heard. This makes me a great user advocate.
I’m creative under pressure
I’ve been in plenty of situations where I had to think fast. It taught me to stay calm, adjust on the spot, and solve problems quickly.
This is me and the ones I love to spend my time with. My family. My world.
Get to know me
To wind down
Something changes when you become a parent. After-work drinks with friends are replaced by hot dog BBQs at Delsjön. Dreams of the next backpacking trip turn into scrolling Hemnet, window-shopping for a house near nature.
These past weekends, we’ve been sitting by the lake, watching other parents pedal by with kids in tow and trolleys stacked with every gadget Naturkompaniet makes. It’s chaotic. It’s weird. And somehow… it feels just right.
How I stay humble
My sourdough starter is a big diva in a jar. It gets grumpy if I don’t feed it, and it collapses if I ignore it for a while. Baking with it feels like dating someone out of my league. It’s thrilling when it works and humbling when it doesn’t.
This summer, I ghosted my sourdough too often, so now it’s giving me the silent treatment. I think it might be time to crawl back to my friend and ask for a new starter.
I’m a foodie
My partner and I love being creative in the kitchen. For a while, we were obsessed with Korean food. One day, we spent hours making kimchi from scratch and put the jar in the fridge. It was delicious!
But after a few days, the smell took over the entire kitchen. So, we moved the jar to the balcony, where it spent the whole winter. Until spring came, and the kimchi packed its bags and walked away.
When I feel stuck
I like to bike. I don’t even need a destination. Some of my best ideas just pop up while I’m pedalling.
